Privacy policy
This policy explains what stays on your device, what the contact form stores, and how hosting, optional analytics and advertising may affect your privacy.
No account required: all core content works without signing in or accepting optional analytics. Adsterra advertising scripts load on every page and operate separately from the analytics choice.
Information stored in your browser
Practice Dive best scores are stored in localStorage. Dive Planner answers are stored in sessionStorage so they can survive a refresh in the same browser session. These values remain on your device and are not sent to our server unless you deliberately include them in a contact message. You can remove them through your browser’s site-data controls.
Contact-form information
If you submit the contact form, we store the request type, name, message, optional reply email and optional page URL in a private database. The form also creates a random reference ID and timestamp. We do not intentionally add your IP address to the saved message. We use submissions to review corrections, rights requests, privacy questions and feedback. Messages are retained only as long as reasonably needed for the request, recordkeeping and abuse prevention, then may be deleted or anonymized.
Hosting and security logs
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like most web infrastructure providers, Cloudflare may process IP addresses, request headers, timestamps, requested URLs and security signals to deliver the site, prevent abuse and operate its network. Those infrastructure logs are governed by Cloudflare’s own terms and privacy commitments.
Optional Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site traffic and improve guides and tools. Analytics is off by default, and the Google Analytics script is not downloaded unless you choose “Allow analytics.” If you allow it, Google may process page URLs, referrers, approximate location, device and browser details, interaction events and network information. We have disabled Google Signals and ad-personalization signals for this implementation. Your choice is saved in localStorage as krillion-analytics-consent.
If you choose “Only necessary,” the analytics script remains unloaded and no Google Analytics measurement is sent by this site. You can reopen the choice panel at any time with the button below.
External links
Links to the official Krillion game, Google policy pages and other sources open third-party websites. Those sites control their own cookies, accounts and data practices. Krillion Companion does not receive your official game answer, streak or account activity merely because you follow an external link.
Advertising and Adsterra
We use Adsterra Popunder and Social Bar advertising across the site. When a page loads, Adsterra and its advertising partners may receive the page URL, referrer, IP address, request headers, and browser or device details. They may use cookies or similar technologies to select, deliver, limit, measure and protect ads against fraud. A Popunder may open an advertising page after an eligible interaction, while a Social Bar may display an overlay or similar ad format.
These advertising scripts load independently of the optional Google Analytics setting. You can use browser cookie controls, content-blocking settings or industry opt-out tools, although blocking may affect ad delivery. Review Adsterra’s Privacy Policy and the choices available through AboutAds.
Children
This site is a general-audience trivia companion and is not designed to collect personal information from children. It does not offer accounts, public profiles, comments or direct messaging. If a parent or guardian believes a child submitted personal information through the contact form, they may request removal.
Your choices and requests
- Clear Practice Dive and Planner state through browser storage settings.
- Leave the reply email blank when submitting a correction that does not require a response.
- Use the contact form, choose “Privacy request,” and include the contact reference ID when asking to access or remove a message.
- Do not include passwords, payment data, official game credentials or other sensitive information in a message.
Policy changes
We may update this policy when hosting, forms, analytics or advertising practices change. The date at the top will be revised, and material changes should be reflected before the new processing begins.
